HAROLD LIEBERMAN
The siblings Harold and Alan Lieberman were respected
and prosperous managers of the construction´s item, until the real state crisis
that affected the United States at the end of the 80´s decade reached them.
When Harold rushed from the sixth floor of the building, it put an end to a
history of dollars and success that put an end to both siblings pursued by the
world in less than 10 years and with a not answered question: why they chose
Chile like destination.
Their family was the prototype of people that build an empire starting from
the personal effort.
The Lieberman Corp. the instrument of its success, the company that took them
to be located among 50 more important companies in the United States.
From their Westport office, neighborhood in the suburbs of St. Louis, the two
siblings supervised operations and real state projects in Colorado, Missouri
and other states.
The problems began in 1989, when the debts became untenable and their 15 more
important subcontractors were alerted that the money had been drained.
Although the bank fraud reached the order of the 15 million dollars, on practice
the most harmed were many pensioners that had invested its savings to make possible
the dream of having a house. As soon as the news of Harold Lieberman's suicide
